I’M NEW HERE

WHERE AND HOW TO START

WORDS FROM APOSTLE Felix Okoh

GREETING MESSAGE

Hello and welcome to our church website, it’s always a real joy for us to meet and have new memebers in our church family. Here you will find useful information about our believe. Our mission is leading people in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Please join our church and start a new life.

Whatever that next step is, it’s time to take a bold step of faith out of your comfort zone and discover what God has for you. We believe that you can’t go with God and stay where you are.

WHAT TO EXPECT

General Information

God is holy. God must punish the sinner. But, He has provided a way of escape so that people will not face His righteous judgment. This means that God is both holy and loving. He must manifest each quality equally. So, being saved from the wrath of God is called salvation.

Salvation is found in Jesus and only in Jesus, who is God in flesh (John 1:1, 14) and who died for our sins and rose from the dead. 1 Cor. 15:1-4 says . . .

“Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.  3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,”

This is how salvation works: All of us have sinned against God and deserve judgment. But Jesus never sinned (1 Pet. 2:22). He lived the Law of God perfectly. In this, He has a perfectly righteous standing before God. When the corrupt Jewish leaders forced Rome’s hand into crucifying Jesus, God used this crucifixion as the means to place the sins of the world upon Jesus (1 Pet. 2:24, 1 John 2:2). This is when Jesus became sin on our behalf. 2 Cor. 5:21 says,

“He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

The crucifixion became the place where Jesus bore our sins in His body and suffered in our place.  “But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed,” (Isaiah 53:5).  Remember, no sinner could please God perfectly, and no sinner could offer a perfect sacrifice to God. Only God in flesh, Jesus, could do that.

Faith Common Questions

Am I good enough to go to heaven?

Nope. Not on your own. But the great news is that you don’t have to try to go it alone!

Although it may sound harsh, the Bible says no one is good enough to go to heaven on their own. According to scripture, even our good deeds are like filthy rags. (Isaiah 64:6) It also says that all men have gone astray (Isaiah 53:6), all have sinned (Romans 3:23), and none are worthy (Romans 3:10).

Which makes the love of God even that much sweeter.

You’re not good enough to go to heaven on your own, but Jesus has prepared the way for you. He lived the perfect life you couldn’t live, and died the death you should’ve died, paying the sacrifice you couldn’t pay.

You’re not good enough to get to heaven on your own, but Jesus is. And he says, “Follow me.” (Matthew 16:24)

Is Jesus really the only way?

Yes. But don’t take our word for it. Because Jesus himself said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Is Hell a real place?

Yes, it sure is. Jesus talked about it. He said it was a place where the suffering never ends (Matthew 25:41; Mark 9:48). It’s a curse worse than “being drowned in the sea.” (Mark 9:42) The pain of Hell will produce “weeping and gnashing of teeth.” (Matthew 8:12)

Should I be Baptized?

As Christians we model our lives after the example of Jesus Christ.

The bible says that Jesus, after His resurrection gave His disciples saying “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,” (Matt. 28:19). We believe this is important for every believer.
